Bango Wind Farm Project Update

Nathan Contractors began construction on the Bango Wind Farm in April 2020, with completion due for late 2020.  The job is located north of Yass, NSW. Like the rest of the country, our teams were dealing with the complications of the COVID-19 pandemic. We were fortunate to be able to continue works on this project, after putting new safety procedures in place to ensure our crews were kept safe and healthy.  This has been a huge project, with Nathan contracted to complete a whopping 46 tower footings, at an average of two...

Crudine Ridge Wind Farm Project Update

Nathan Contractors began construction on the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm in April 2020, and is on track to finish by the scheduled end date of August 2020.  The job is located 45km south of Mudgee, NSW and has taken place over a particularly frosty winter. As always, the safety of our team is our first priority, and we have been working to ensure that all workers are safe in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, with an emphasis on sanitization and keeping our workers socially distanced from the general population.  In spite...

Sunshine Motorway Project Update

Nathan has been constructing bridges on the Sunshine Motorway upgrade project near Caloundra, QLD since late 2017. We've been delighted to be working on one of Australia's most innovative highway projects and adding our skills as one of the leading structural concrete sub-contractors on the east coast.  This motorway is Australia's first Diamond Diverge interchange and has been a huge undertaking for Nathan - we've been installing more than 50 concrete beams per month and installing headstocks 7m above ground level. Watch our progress to date We've been tracking our work on this...

Collector Wind Farm – Final Pour

During these uncertain times, we're celebrating every small win here at Nathan. In this case, it's our final concrete pour at the Collector Wind Farm. Commencing in October 2019, the Collector Wind Farm has been a challenging project as it took place during NSW's worst bushfire season on record, creating poor conditions at times.  However, our crews persisted to deliver the project on time in true Nathan fashion, with a final pour taking place on April 10. We're very proud of the work our crews did on this project and they upheld the...

Collector Wind Farm Project Update, March 2020

The Nathan crew have been hard at work in Collector, NSW since October 2019, and are nearing completion on this wind farm project. Located in rural NSW, conditions have been particularly challenging on this project, as works took place during one of the hottest and most dangerous summers on record. Thankfully, Collector was spared the worst of the Australian bushfire season. However, our guys had to endure extreme heat and poor visibility due to smoke to keep this project on schedule. We're particularly proud of our project crews on this job, who...

Moorabool Wind Farm Project Wrap Up, September 2019

After ten months on-site, we're saying goodbye to the Moorabool South Wind Farm in Victoria, having now completed our scope of works.  The Nathan crews worked through the blazing heat and freezing snow-like conditions to deliver this project on time and within budget. We're delighted to be wrapping up this project on a high, having broken all of our previous records for quantities of concrete poured and tower bases completed. Moorabool was one of three Wind Farm projects Nathan worked on in 2019, and we're glad to say we lived up...

Berrybank Wind Farm Project Update – August 2019

Nathan Contractor's fastest growing sector in 2018/19 has been energy infrastructure, with our third Wind Farm project commencing in July at Berrybank in Victoria.  MPC-Kinetic is busily constructing site roads and crane hard-stands, weather permitting - it's winter in Victoria, and hence the local conditions are very wet and challenging!  However, the project team is enthusiastically getting on with the job, and we expect to complete all concrete works around Xmas 2019. Nathan has continued to build a reputation for delivering outstanding structural concrete solutions on Wind Farm projects, safely and...

Sunshine Motorway Project Update April 2019

This was no small task and it involved extensive night works and over 9,400 man-hours. The beams were installed safely, and on...
