Sunshine Motorway Project Update
It’s done!
After two years of work, the Sunshine Motorway Bridge Project has come to a close!
This was a significant job for Nathan Contractors, with 11 bridges completed by the end of the project. The CR2SM – Sunshine Motorway, is Australia’s first diamond diverge interchange, and we are proud to have been part of engineering history through our involvement in the project.
Final facts and figures
This is Nathan’s largest bridge project to date!
The numbers stacked up to:
- 11 bridges completed
- 112 Super T beams installed
- 797 Deck Units installed
- 9,200 cubic metres of concrete poured
Thank you to our people!
To all of the Nathan staff who made this project happen, thank you. The team worked through rain, floods, extreme heat and tough site conditions at times to deliver the works on time and to the quality standards Nathan and its clients require. Our safety record on the project has been excellent, with zero serious injuries. We are very proud of our achievements on this project and look forward to “getting the band back together” soon for our next gig!
EYE IN THE SKY
We decided to farewell this project in style and rounded up the team, put on our finest denim and took a helicopter ride over the motorway, to give everyone a chance to see their work from above.
